Serial Rename

The Serial Rename dialog is used to set the start number and the number of digits to be used in a multiple file, serial rename task. The default is to start with 01 and use two digits, shown as a limit of '99'.

Serial Rename

The Serial Rename function takes a fixed name segment, input by the user, and appends a fixed number of digits to that name. If the Limit is set to 9999, there will be four digits appended, iúeú a starting number of 50 would result in appending 0050, 0051, etc.

Use the Start with spin control to set the start number for the rename task. Files with be renamed starting with this number appended to the fixed name segment.

Use the Limit spin control to set the number of digits desired, i.e. 999 will append three digits to the fixed name segment.
