Setting File Attributes
File attributes may be set for all selected files in one operation. The menu option Files->Attributes is a conditional menu item that initiates this function by default when selected and opens the Change File Attributes dialog. The dialog may also be opened by Alt+A or pushing the Attributes button on the Data Panel.

The attributes of all selected files may be changed in one operation by presetting the desired attributes and then pushing the Set button. The four modifiable attributes are:
For each attribute, select No Change, Set or Clear. Pressing the Set button causes the selected attributes to be set for each selected file in the active Files window. The Files window may contain multiple directories.
Keyboard
To set attributes from the keyboard, use the Tab key to select the attribute to change, then use the Up/Dn arrow keys to select the setting. The Tab key cycles through the attributes and pushbuttons.
Comments
The attributes of the cursored file are displayed in the Attributes window in the Data Panel and indicated by "r", "h", "s" and "a". The attributes of each displayed file may be viewed in the Attributes column of the Details View.
Deleting Extended Attributes
There may be instances where it is desired to delete an extended attribute for one or more files in a single operation. The Files->Attributes menu option has submenu options to delete the .LONGNAME, .SUBJECT, .ICON or other EAs. Select from one to all files in a Files window (this may include Multi-Directory views) and then select, as desired, the EA to delete from the submenu. Use the Delete Named EA to delete any EA desired. A message box will query for the name of the EA to delete. If a selected file has the selected attribute, it will be deleted. if not, the file will remain highlighted at the end of the operation.
Use the EA View dialog to view all extended attributes for a selected file or directory.
