Change File Date/Time

The Change File Date/Time dialog is used to change the last write file date and time of all selected files in the active Files window.

Controls

• Spin Controls - Use the dialog spin controls to set the desired date/time parameters into the applicable Mo/Day/Yr/Hr/Min/Sec windows.

• Set - Push this button to start the operation.

• Today - Push this button to set todays date/time into the applicable windows.

Keyboard

The Tab key cycles through the spin controls and pushbuttons. To set the file date and time from the keyboard, use the Tab key to select the spin control to modify (Mo., Day, Year etc.), then use the Up/Dn cursor keys to modify the parameter.

Notes

Although the Sec. control sets to the nearest second, the actual set time is set to the nearest two seconds.

The cursored file last write date/time data are displayed in the file Date and Time windows in the Data Panel.

Most users have no need to modify the file date and time. In most cases it is desirable to leave the file date/time as set by the system.

Changing the date/time of directory entries is not supported. The last write date/time for directories equates to create date/time and can be viewed by selecting Query for the selected directory from the popup or action bar menus.
