Auto Scroll

If the setup notebook option Auto scroll file windows (page 2_2) is checked, the file windows will auto scroll when the cursor is moved close to the edges of the window with mouse button one down, either horizontally in Text and Name views or vertically in Details view. This facilitates swipe selection of files without having to stop and manually scroll the window. In Details view the mouse pointer must be within approximately the height of one file record of the top or bottom of the window for auto scroll to start. In Text and Name views the pointer must be within approximately the width of the Parent Directory button to start scrolling. It may be necessary to move the pointer slightly to keep the window scrolling as it senses mouse movement.

If the setup notebook option Auto scroll tree on expand is checked, the directory tree will auto scroll when a branch is expanded if, in its expanded state, it will extend below the bottom of the Directories window. There is a limit that keeps the expanded directory from scrolling above two directory below the top of the window.

Pressing the F6 key or a LMB click in the Directories window titlebar will auto scroll the directory tree to position the selected directory within the field of view. Pressing Ctrl F6 will auto scroll the directory tree to position the current directory within the field of view.

Pressing F7/F8 or a LMB click in either Files window titlebar will auto scroll File windows A or B to position the cursored file within the field of view.

If a file is selected with the Alt key down and a like named file exists in the inactive Files window, both files are selected. If the active and inactive File windows are both in Details view and there is scroll range available, the file in the inactive window is scrolled to align with the selected file in the active window. The Ctrl F7/F8 keys may also be used to accomplish this dual file selection.
