Changing Directories
Upon startup, FS/2 displays the contents of the directories passed as command
line or program object parameters. If there are none, it will read in the
last used directories of the last session.
Directories are normally changed by single (if enabled) or double clicking
the LMB with the mouse pointer on the desired directory. Other methods include:
- Use the Change
Directory dialog to change directories using the keyboard. Use the '\'
or F3 keys to activate the dialog. The directory tree is searched as you
type a directory name in the Change To entry field. Any matching
directory is shown in the Match field.
- Highlight a directory and select Refresh from
the Directories menu.
- Press F6 to activate the Directories window and then
use the keyboard scroll keys to highlight a directory and press the Enter
key.
- Quickly move up the directory tree from subdirectory
to parent by clicking with the left mouse button on the parent directory
button
(double
dots) located at the bottom right of either Files window or the Directories
window.
- Quickly select the last directory used in a window
(assuming there has been one in the current session) by clicking the Last
Directory pushbutton at the bottom of the Directories window.
- Select any of the last twenty (20) directories used
in both windows by accessing the Last
Used Directories context menu by mouse chording in the Files windows.
- Select a directory from a user generated and maintained
list of twenty (20) frequent use directories by accessing the Frequent
Use Directories context menu.
- Use the DirMarks window to single click select any
directory in the user defined tree.
