This pushbutton
is
normally used to toggle the active Files window between A and B. An alternative
use, activated by holding down the Ctrl key when clicking the button, is
to enlarge the active Files window to the extent that it hides the alternate
Files window. A second Ctrl+click restores the windows to normal. If the
program is closed in the enlarged state, that size is saved on closing and
restored on startup. It then is necessary to use Windows->Reset
Current (or hit the Size button in the Data Panel) to restore
dual window use.
Although the file windows may be activated by simply clicking anywhere within the desired window, there are some dual window operations where the use of this button is either more desirable or required. The pushbutton also serves as an object for point and click operations: a RMB click will pop up the Directory Marks (DirMarks) window.
