Remap

There are two Settings notebook, page 2_2, options that affect how the program handles drive remapping:

If neither of these options is checked, a manual remap of the drives available, by selecting Drives->Remap on either the popup or pulldown menus, may be necessary to show or update the status of a shared network drive and/or a local removable drive such as an attached NetDrive or FTP drive.

If the option Auto remap of drive list is checked, the following actions will cause an automatic remap of the available drives:

If the option Timed remap of drive list is checked, a timer is used to check, and remap the drives available if required, at a user set interval (default is 10 seconds).

Any remote LAN drive that is sensed 'Not ready' will be removed from, and any other drive not previously mapped will be added to, the list of drives in the Drives window.

NOTE: Do not use this feature if your network uses CDROM juke boxes. The polling of these devices will render them unusable.

All applicable network error messages are be displayed in the Message window.
