When the menu item Files->Run is selected the Command Line dialog is activated with the cursored file set in the command line if it is an executable file. The executable file type is identified and shown in the dialog title bar.
The command line may be concatenated with a drive, directory or file(s) by holding down the CTRL key and making a selection. The selection must be compatible with the executable program or command. E.g., typing 'DIR' and then adding D: with a Ctrl click on the 'D' drive letter will do a directory listing on D: drive but adding a file name will not. See the Executable File dialog for further help with command line options.
Depending on the type of executable file identified, options to run the file in a window or full screen and with or without auto-close at the completion of the program may be enabled.
If the cursored file is not executable, the dialog is still activated but the command line is filled with the first command in the previously saved command list.
