FS/2 may be used to perform a zipped backup of the Desktop directory and other required files to restore the desktop. The function may be disabled or enabled using the Commands->Desktop Backup->Disable (or Enable) menu option toggle. When enabled, a backup is commenced on the first FS/2 start of the day where the day is equal or greater that the last backup day plus the set backup interval in days. If the Commands->Desktop Backup->Ask Before Backup is enabled, the user is prompted with a query whether to proceed or skip the backup. If the user decides to skip the backup, the next backup notice will occur after the set interval in days. The set interval may be queried or set by the Commands->Desktop Backup->Set Backup Interval menu item.
