Selection of the Directories->Add Dir menu item results in adding the files of the selected directory to those already in the active file window. This is referred to as a Multiple Directory view. It is similar to the Read Branch option which reads all subdirectories into the window.
The Add Dir option may be used in conjunction with the Directories->Read Branch item to add individual directories to those read with the Read Branch option.
