Colors
Coloring the FileStar
Windows
The Color Palette will change the window background or
foreground colors
of the drive, directory and file windows - but not individually. This
color
is under program control to associate the color of these window with
the
active window.
The Window background, foreground, hilite background
and hilite foreground
colors can be changed using the controls presented.

Settings
Notebook - Page 5_1
Color Controls
- Select either
File Window #1 or #2.
This sets the windows to color and also sets the focus in the
background
FS/2 window.
- Use the
Background, Foreground, Hilite
Background and Hilite Foreground radio buttons to select the
color to change.
- Use the mouse
or keyboard to change to the Red, Green
and Blue settings. The real windows will update in the background when
the
color control scrolling terminates. The small sample windows reflect
the
colors during and after scroll. The notebook may be moved to view the
changes
in FileStar's windows.
- Include
Dialogs - Check this option to set
the entry fields and pushbuttons in dialogs to the same color as used
in
the FS/2 main window. Entry fields will track the color of the active
Files
window.
- Include Data
Panel - Check this option to set
the Data Panel subwinodws and pushbuttons to the same color as used in
the
FS/2 active Files window.
- Flip Colors
- This pushbutton can be used to
reverse the color settings between the active and inactive set of
windows.
- Schemes
- When the Schemes button is pushed,
it becomes a rocker control. It may then be used to toggled forward or
backward
through selection of 14 predefined color schemes. Changes to predefined
schemes are made the same as above.
- Save -
This pushbutton is used to save the
current color scheme. If the current scheme is not saved, it remains in
use until the program is closed and then reverts to the previously
saved
scheme on restart. Upon saving, the user is offered the option to save
the
scheme to My Scheme. My Scheme is one of the predefined color
schemes.
Coloring Other Controls
The user is encouraged to use the Color Palette to
color other controls
in the FS/2 main Window as desired. Almost all pushbuttons, controls
and
windows except those mentioned above may be colored with the palette as
described in Customization.
However,
to save all custom colorization, the Save/Restore colors and fonts
check
box on Options page 2_1 of the Settings Notebook must be checked.
Colors dropped on dialogs are not saved. Any color
dropped on a dialog is
lost when the dialog is closed.
Dropping a color on the Toolbar window is not
recommended. The frame around
the bitmaps will take colors but the bitmap background will not.
