The menu option, Drives->Add X:, is available whenever Multiple Trees is enabled and the selected drive has not been added to the Directories window. Otherwise it will be grayed out.
If Multiple Trees is enabled, selecting this option will add the indicated drive to those already in the Directories window. It is primarily helpful to keyboard users since a LMB double click with the mouse will accomplish the same.
