Current Dir View

The Directories->Window Options->Current Dir View menu item is a conditional cascaded item with submenu items used to set the state and submoding of the Current Dir View mode. This mode has characteristics similar to the OS File Dialog in that it presents a limited tree view of the current directory.

The default action for this item is fixed and simply toggles the enabled state of the Current Dir View mode.

The submenu item Show 1st Level Dirs toggles the moding to show (enabled), or not show (not enabled), the root directory of the drive and the 1st level parent directory of the current directory.

Examples of Current Directory View moding are shown above. Show 1st Level Dirs is enabled in the left window and disabled in the right.

Current Dir View may be toggled on temporarily by mouse chording (simultaneous L/R MB) a directory in the Directories window. The state persists until the drive is refreshed by clicking a drive letter.
