The menu option Drives->Remap->Manual forces a refresh of the the drives list.
The operating system maintains the list of available drives as 'mapped' drives. The drive map may be dynamic and will change as remote or removable drives are connected or disconnected.
In normal operation, the drives list is updated whenever the active file window is changed or a drive is rescanned. Therefore, this remap function is seldom required. It is primarily useful in a network environment and then only when there is an indication that the drive list has changed and appears incorrect.
There are two option settings, Auto and Timed Remap, that will trigger a drive remap automatically based on certain events. See Remote Drives when using this program on a network.
