The Custom file windows arrangement is similar to cascaded, with the active window partially obscuring the recessive window. However, in custom mode the size and position of the active and inactive windows is swapped when activated, regardless of which file window is active. When the recessive file window is activated, it is automatically resized and positioned to that of the active window and placed in the foreground, while the previously active window is automatically resized and positioned to that of the recessive window and placed in the background.

Note that the 'J:\IBMCPP40\bin' directory is active and the 'L:\FS_30000' directory is inactive. When the inactive window is selected, the directories will be reversed.
